Everything, from rocks to trees, from the smallest particle to the biggest star, everything has a vibrational energy. Some things vibrate at a higher frequency than others but the vibration is always there. It is this very vibrational energy that make crystals and gemstones the perfect tool in helping us heal and balance.
The human vibration is undergoing constant changes depending on any given set of circumstance (environment, social setting, life circumstances, social influences, etc.,) but crystal and gemstone vibration is unchanging. Because of the perfect geometric shapes and molecular structure in crystals, they maintain more balance and stability. They are like the yin to our yang. When the crystal receives negative energy it balances it and turns it into positive energy. This is something that has been known for centuries-all around the world. In Ancient Egypt they buried the dead with a piece of quartz on their forehead to help guide them to the afterlife and used crystals for spiritual protection and for health concerns. The Hindu Vedas teach about the use of different crystals to treat certain medical illnesses, and delineate the specific properties of different crystals. The ancient peoples understood that crystals had something that help. Today we know that the properties within crystals that are beneficial to humans have to do with energies and and frequencies.
When we wear a gemstone or crystal the frequency carried by the stone will vibrate with our own energy. This causes the nervous system to to respond to these changes and send the information to the brain which then stimulates biochemical changes that can cause a positive change both physically and mentally. How much that is proven? Well, unfortunately not much. Most evidence is anecdotal, but we do know that crystals carry energy and that people have reported the benefits for many years. I wear many different stones depending on where I am feeling an imbalance and will be sharing the information I have gathered throughout my life regarding gemstone energy and healing.
